I bought two pairs of the COMPETIZIONE bibshorts in size medium and they fit me great (I'm a US medium). This after I'd sworn off Castelli for their crazy sizing over the years. Then came these shorts. I ordered a medium and boy, they tight in the legs and waist and the straps are short. Good luck pulling these down slightly to take a whiz. I would clearly need to size up to a large. Having said that, these bibshorts could be better described as knickers. The legs came all the way down to the top of my knees. I'm not fond of that look. I can only imagine how far down a size large would go. I bought these because I was looking for a more substantial chamois than the Kiss2 for century type rides. The chamois in these shorts seemed more robust than the Kiss2 so I was initially excited...until I tried them on. Come on Castelli...why is this sizing thing so difficult for you? I'm returning these.Purchased the Grey color. I ride in 95*F+ heat in Florida, large amounts of sweat do not impact the performance of these bibs at all. The fabric is amazingly soft, I don't get sweat stains and the chamois is super comfortable for any ride duration at A+ speeds. No issues with the lack of leg gripper, shorts stay put.I'm 6'4" 178lbs and a Large fits me perfect.I've ridden in many other high end bib shorts from other manufacturers.
